Pumpkin Hill is a big stage, but you will be able to clear it pretty quickly if you use the Hint boxes wisely. There are more Hint boxes than you expected in this stage. If you have the sunglasses, use them in the train rotary in the Ghost train mountain. You can find 3 Hint boxes there!
